The Shape of a Garden - original acrylic painting

Original acrylic painting on canvas
80 × 80 cm
Unframed

The Shape of a Garden is a playful, abstract take on the colours and forms found in nature.

Deep plum, burgundy and inky blues sit alongside olive green, soft peach and creamy white, all floating across a warm grey background. Loose, sweeping brushstrokes suggest petals, leaves and stems, but the shapes have taken on a life of their own.

Some forms twist and curl, others overlap or seem to drift off the edge of the canvas. There's a lovely mix of bold, confident marks and quieter moments, giving the painting a sense of movement without feeling too busy.

Rather than painting a garden as it looks, The Shape of a Garden is more about the shapes, colours and little surprises you might find within one.

A contemporary floral abstraction that brings colour and personality to both modern and classic interiors.
