Hello, I’m Sally.

Floriosa is the home of my original works on paper and limited edition prints, inspired by Australian birds, botanicals, and the quiet beauty of the natural world.

I moved from the UK to Australia in the mid-1990s and quickly fell in love with the landscape here. Much of my work begins outdoors, sketching and painting from life, or later in the studio, working from memory and feeling. I’m drawn to colour, pattern, and the small details that often go unnoticed — the curve of a leaf, the posture of a bird, the way light softens a scene.

My paintings are made slowly and intuitively. I’m not interested in perfect realism, but in creating artworks that feel calm, joyful, and easy to live with. I want them to sit comfortably in your home, to be noticed over time, and to bring a gentle sense of nature into everyday spaces.

Floriosa brings together a curated selection of original artworks and prints from my studio, many of which have been collected and loved for years. This body of work exists because of the wonderful community of collectors who continue to support it.
